Meet the Author

Hi, I'm Sanica!

Hi, I am Sanica Trottman, an author, graphic designer and creative with a love for bringing ideas to life.

Creativity has always been a big part of who I am and over time that creativity found its way into something especially close to my heart - creating stories and experiences for others, especially children.

Stories Inspired by Home

Growing up in Jamaica, I was - and still am - surrounded by the beauty of island life - tropical fruits, animals, family traditions, warm sunshine and the simple everyday moments that become some of our most treasured memories.

These little pieces of home find their way into the stories I create.

Through my books, I hope to give children stories that spark curiosity and imagination, encourage learning and exploration and share a little of the warmth and beauty of Caribbean life along the way.

From Stories to Palm Tree Kids

What started with children's stories gradually grew into something bigger.

Palm Tree Kids was created as a playful world where stories, learning and creativity can come together.

It is a colourful world for curious little minds to meet characters like Amaya and Zane, explore farms and tropical places, solve puzzles, discover new things and simply have fun.

As Palm Tree Kids continues to grow, so will the activities, adventures and stories waiting to be discovered.

At the heart of it all is the simple idea:

Expore . Learn . Play

I believe some of the best learning happens when children are enjoying the adventure along the way.

My Books

Every story I create has its own little world to explore.

From adventures on Great Grandma's Farm to island traditions, curious characters and unexpected discoveries. My books are created to make reading feel fun, warm and engaging for young minds.

Take a peek at some of the stories I have created so far - with many more adventures still to come.
